Peter Okechukwu Okocha, ACIB

Mr. Peter Okechukwu Okocha hails from Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State. He holds the West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate, a National Diploma (ND), and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Banking and Finance from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu. He also earned a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Management/Economics from Enugu State University of Science & Technology (ESUT), a Master in Business Administration (MBA), and a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Business Administration and Management from Delta State University, Abraka.

As an Industrial Trainee, he worked with the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) Lagos in the Corporate Finance and Control Department. He also served as the Assistant Accountant at Jubaili Bros Engineering Ltd. (Marapco Generator). He completed his compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the Gwarzo Local Government Secretariat, Kano State.

Thereafter, he began his banking career at Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) Katsina in 2005. He was later transferred to the Asaba branch before joining Intercontinental Bank Plc in 2007. In 2012, he joined Access Bank Plc, where he served until 2018, rising to the rank of Senior Banking Officer (SBO). Throughout his banking career, he held various roles, including Teller, Funds Transfer Officer, Customer Service Officer, Cash Officer, Head of Operations, Relationship Officer (RO), and Relationship Manager (RM). In 2019, he became the pioneer Bursar of NationBuilders College of Technology (now NationBuilders Polytechnic), Asaba, serving until April 2025. He is currently the Managing Director of MFN International Consulting Services Ltd.

Mr. Okocha is an award-winning banker; in 2017, he was recognized by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) as the best student in Banking Law, Ethics, and Corporate Governance across Nigeria and several West African countries. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (ACIB), a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and is currently pursuing a PhD at Delta State University, Abraka.

Furthermore, he is a member of the Bursars’ Association of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technologies of Nigeria (BURSCON) and served as the National Secretary for the League of Freedomites of the God’s Kingdom Society (GKS). He is happily married.
